Stitch Fix Review August 2015
(Affiliate links within)

Vacation edition!  This was my last Stitch Fix before my cruise so I was hoping for a few more pieces to take with me.  Let's take a sneak peak!

I've often wondered if Stitch Fix knew they would have an addicting service when they thought of their company name.  Because let me tell you, I feel like I'm getting my "fix" every time one of these bad boys gets dropped off at my door!  I stalk my tracking number, peek out the window for the FedEx guy, and run to the door to rip open my beautiful package when it comes.  I can't be the only one, right?

Well, let me put you out of your own suspense and help you get your fix by looking at other people's boxes!  That is what you're here for, right?  Without further August Stitch Fix:

(I have to give you my favorite first, because I just can't wait!)

Taylor Poe Dress $88

Yes!  I pinned a similar dress, except it had a solid top with the floral bottom.  How did my stylist know that I secretly wanted this dress?!  I saw this Taylor Poe dress on my Pinterest before and thought it was pretty amazing and secretly wanted it, but thought it was a bit out of my comfort zone so I wasn't even going to pin it.  I was so excited to see this dress in my shipment and be able to try it out!  Love.  Love love love.  It's a lot heavier than I thought, you can tell that it's made extremely well.  It does run a bit big.  I emailed customer service to see if they had a size down.  And they did!!!  Just look how amazing it goes with my Street Level Juno clutch from an earlier fix and some heels!!!!  So excited for this dress.  By the way, the dress does not come with a belt.  I added the black sparkly belt to give it a little added structure at the waist. It is definitely going on the cruise with me.  After that, I don't know...maybe church?  Or just keep saving these "vacation dresses" and tell the hubby he has to take us on more vacations so that I can wear them!  ha!

You guys, my shoes- I got from ThredUp.  Have you heard of them?  They have name brand clothes, shoes, purses, etc either brand new or gently used.  I love them, and they're giving you $20 in free money to shop with right now if you use my link.  Check out what I got for myself and my son and find the link here.

Bay to Baubles Gala Stone Pendant Necklace $34

My first thought, was that the stone was quite a bit bigger than what I'm used to wearing.  Kristy (my stylist) suggested pairing it with the Taylor Poe dress.  I loved how it went together, but I wished it could be a bit shorter.  Then I  tried it on with the top and shorts in my fix and loved that look even more.  But in the end, I didn't know how often I would reach for it so....

(Necklace is also in most of the pictures below to give you a better idea how it goes with outfits.  It grew on me!)

Status:  Kept for discount

Sweet Rain Toledo V-Neck Blouse $38

Close up of stripes on shorts

I really love this shirt.  I love the details in the design and the little buttons on the shoulders.  It is more of a hi/lo shirt that I'm not really down with, but it's a flattering shirt and for the price, I'll keep it!

Dear John Roll Cuff Chino Shorts $48

I love the fit of these shorts.  And the stripes are great.  It says its pink, but it looks more red to me.  Kristy suggested pairing them with the Toledo shirt for a fun mix of patterns.  It's something I probably wouldn't have ever thought of on my own, but I love them together!  Win!  Things like this are another reason why I love this service.  Not only do they send us clothes picked out with us in mind, and give us style cards, but they put outfits together for us too that I never would have thought of....even though they came in the same box together!

Gilli Kamile Jersey Ruched Detail Dress $54

Same dress in teal

So, I have this dress already.  2 of them if you remember.  I told my stylist that I loved it and would buy it in every color!  haha, I totally do love it.  I was a little surprised to see it in my fix again but Kristy wrote that she knows how much I love it and wanted to try one more time- last one.  When I saw it scheduled to come to me, I thought "Well, I'll keep it only if it's gray.  Well, only gray or navy".  I thought that soon enough it will be fall and those would be good fall color choices to add some colorful cardigans too.  So I opened my box and it was.....purple.  A beautiful royal purple color.  Gorgeous.  Looks amazing with my Juno clutch as well...and I liked it with the pendant she sent.  But, I tried to stick to my guns since it would be the 3rd dress I would own of that exact same style and decided not to keep it.  The second picture is me wearing the same dress in a teal green color.  Just look at how pretty it looks with the beautiful water in the Bahamas!  Did I mention I pretty much packed only Stitch Fix things on my cruise to the Bahamas earlier this month?!  I don't know what I would do without this service!

If you need more pictures of this dress you can find it here in the teal or here in the black.

Status:  Kept for discount, then given away to a good home!

So I really loved 3 of these pieces and liked the other 2, but with Stitch Fix, if you keep all 5 pieces, you get a 25% discount on everything.  Because of that, my three pieces would have cost the same as keeping all 5, so it was a no brainer.  I could sell the other 2 to friends or give away as gifts.  Turns out that I decided to keep the pendant though.  This service is so much fun and has really helped me figure out my style, likes and dislikes.  If  you would like to try   Stitch Fix out for yourself and see what a stylist would pick out for you, fill out your questionnaire here.  (If you sign up using my link, Stitch Fix will give me a small credit toward my own fixes at no cost to you!  Thank you in advance if you'd like to support my blog....and Stitch Fix this way!)

If you wanted to check out ThredUp (I've found a lot of Stitch Fix brands on there too) and receive the $20 free to shop with, check out my review here.  You can get a lot for $20 with them.  It's great for back to school clothes for the kids or to treat yourself...but they don't have men's items yet!

Check out my Carnival Cruise Review!  It was so much fun!  If you've ever thought of going on a cruise, you'll want to read this.  I took a ton of pictures and am working on a very fun and detailed review of what went on!  You'll also probably spot a lot of Stitch Fix because it pretty much filled my entire suitcase!

If you don't want to miss out on the fun, sign up for my monthly newsletter at the top of the page.  You'll get a free puppy.  Or not, but how about a cyber high five instead?
